Job Title: Payroll Technician
Reports To: Dean of Finance
Status: Full-time/ Regular/ Non-exempt
Salary: $21 an hour DOE
SUMMARY: The payroll technician will compute, classify, record, and verify payroll, 401(k) and personnel records by performing the essential duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Reviews, enters, and processes timesheets, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and agreements; runs payroll, prints checks and deposit notices, and prepares related reports; prepares 401(k) runs; prepares and files tax documents;
- Perform daily payroll operations;
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely;
- Reviews, enters, and processes timesheets;
- Receives and reconciles payroll reports;
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports;
- Execute Paychex TLO time and attendance and interface with payroll;
- Process manual payroll checks;
- Upload and import Journal Entries of payroll transactions to general ledger;
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
